WOTD

Day 32 of Sadhana, did Qi Gong For Seniors.
Don't laugh - I'm not a senior yet, but this is an incredibly relaxing feel good practice! It includes stretching, range of motion exercises, balance exercises, Qi self massage, and a gentle flow segment. There are three ways you can do this workout - you can choose to do the routine standing or modified - either seated (as demonstrated by Lee's mother, Karen) or standing with a chair for stability. I could not stop yawning through out -I felt so relaxed during and after!

Day 37 of 40 day Sadhana. Today I did Qi Gong for Upper Back and Neck Pain. I had a lot going on today and really had to make an effort to put myself first and do the workout despite having a bunch of things to do. I think often I forget to make time to do something healthy for me. Feeling good inside & out that I did Qi Gong today!!

40 Day Sadhana
I purchased the newest set of Classical Stretch a few months ago and that is about all I have been doing since I last checked in. There is a fantastic episode for PF (Plantar Fasciitis) that I can't stop doing!

Since tonight is the Autumnal Equinox and the start of fall, I am committing to a 40 day Sadhana of Yoga & Qi Gong. Today I did Yoga for Stress Relief and was a big pile of mush - it felt so wonderful, warm, needed.

Workouts
After all the snow yesterday I am hurting from shoveling multiple times. My knee is still weird - feels off/out of alignment, but I am taking it easy and being careful when I walk or do anything. Despite being sore from shoveling the snow, today I did:

~Happy Thanksgiving!~
I thought todays workout of the day was appropriate being Thanksgiving and all, I know I will overindulge! lol ...
I have so much to be thankful for this day and every. I’m
especially thankful for my husband, our fur & feather babies, our first
house and all the luxuries a house affords us, our health, extended family, life.
I am spending today with loved ones and cooking our first holiday/Thanksgiving dinner in this house.
Wishing everyone a holiday filled with love & comfort.

Update & Workouts
I have been recently diagnosed with a condition that
unfortunately has no cure or medicine to treat it. I feel as if the rug has been pulled out from under me. At times
over the past couple weeks I have felt
relief, curious, sorry for myself, depressed, angry at doctors and my parents,
sad, frustrated, and overwhelmed. Sometimes I feel like ignorance was bliss and perhaps not knowing would have been better, but other times I feel hope that maybe I'll be able to find some relief. Holistic doctors recommend Qi Gong and improving
posture to unblock chi, so I’m sure you will see me posting a lot of
Qi Gong, stretching, and Yoga workouts to see if they help. I will be seeing a
specialist soon, so occupational therapy may also be another avenue I try.
I’ve
been told a gluten-free diet may also help. I admit I do not know a lot about
it other than to avoid wheat; common in bread, pasta, and faux soy meats. I am
learning more and will try this route to see if it helps. My
husband picked up some gluten-free bread this morning and we were shocked by
the price - $6 for half a loaf. Why is it if a product has something removed
from it, it costs more?? Anyway, so long pizza, pasta, fake meats – I know they
weren’t healthy anyway, on the bright side, maybe this will help speed up weight loss efforts.
